The Unwanteds: Island Of Graves

The book I read is The Unwanteds: Island Of Graves By Lisa McMann and it is 560 Pages long. This is the sixth book in the Unwanteds series. If you like action/ fantasy books than this is a great one for you. This book reminds me of Harry Potter because they both revolve around magic. My favorite character is Simber because he is always there no matter what.

Alex Stowe leading Artime and new Leader of Quill Gondoleery Rattrap are quickly approaching war. There have been wars before but this one is big. You see, before it was just the magic of Artime against the conventional weapons of Quill. This time though, Quill has the magic of Gondoleery, a new kind of magic Artime has never seen. Also, Alex’s evil twin  Aaron is stuck on an island he’s never even heard of and Alex is not even searching for him. Sadly, due to their tragic past, Alex has given up on Aaron. The Last Star

The book I read was The Last Star by Rick Yancy and it is 339 pages long. It is the last book in The Fifth Wave trilogy. If you like si-fi  or dystopian books than this is a perfect book for you. This book reminds me of The Unwanteds due to the ending. My Favorite character is Cassie because of her courage.

Throughout these books, a lot has happened. Cassie has gone from a scared girl hiding in the woods, to someone who has the courage to face her fears no matter what, for the sake of humanity. Billions have died, cities have crumbled, and friendships have been destroyed. The earth as we know it is nearly gone, only a faint outline of what it was. It is time for humanities last stand. The Infinite Sea

The book I read was The Infinite Sea by Rick Yancey.  It is 352 pages.  This is the second book in a trilogy, the first one was The 5th Wave.  If you like action and adventure then you will like this book.  This book reminds me of nothing really. It is very unique and not much compares. My favorite character is Cassie, because she is loyal to her friends even if she is reckless.

Ringer and Ben have led their soldiers to a hotel in  Ohio, picking Cassie up along the way. They have recently escaped an Other military base and are uneasy about the future. Ringer thinks that they should split up and find somewhere else to hunker down, fearing winter. Cassie thinks that they should wait for Evan, the rogue Other and person who helped them escape. Ben thinks that they should stay and wait it out. Their all butting heads until Ringer leaves to go scout out another location. Shortly after, a mysterious helicopter shows up, and Ringer is still gone. Read The Infinite Sea by Rick Yancy to find out what happens next.

The Unwanteds: Island of Shipwrecks

The book is called The Unwanteds: Island of Shipwrecks.  It is 464 pages long and was written by Lisa McMann.  If you like Action/Adventure you’ll love this book.  This book reminds me of Harry Potter because they use magic.  My favorite character is Sky because she keeps Alex up when he is down and is also very smart.

At the beginning of this book Alex and friends are stranded on a island that has been recently discovered.  This island has many hidden dangers.  Their boat is being rapidly sucked in towards the island.  With Alex and his friends stranded with seemingly no hope, Aaron becomes allies with someone he thinks will be an asset to him and Quill.  He begins making his army and making a battle plan with this new ally.  Their plan will be to destroy Artime once and for all.  After many failed attempts he thinks he is finally ready to take on his brother and the rest of Artime.  Read The Unwanteds: Island of Shipwrecks.

The Unwanteds: Island of Fire

The book I read is called The Unwanteds: Island of Fire. It was written by Lisa McMann and is 464 pages long.  If you like fantasy/action you will love this book.  This book reminds me of Harry Potter because there is a secret world.  And my favorite character is Alex because he can think outside the box to solve a problem.

The world of Artime has been destroyed.  The Unwanteds have nothing left, including hope.  Alex Stowe has been suddenly been put into the spot of head mage.  His friends have been stranded on another island and they are quickly running out of food.  He running out of options and his people are deserting him quickly.  Meanwhile, Aaron Stowe is on the other side of the island planning the demise of Artime.  Which side will win, or will they both be destroyed.  Read The Unwanteds: Island of Fire by Lisa McMann.

The 5th Wave

The book that I read is The 5th Wave, it was written by Rick Yancey.  The paperback is 512 pages long.  The book is a trilogy so he also wrote The Infinite and The Last Star.  If you like Sci-Fi or mysteries then you will like this book.  This book reminds me of Legend because they both are about teenagers after a major world disaster.  My favorite character is Ringer/Marika because she is very smart and logical.

So Cassie’s problems used to be boys, homework and karate but since the world got attacked in waves by the aliens that has changed.  Now her problems are deciding who can be trusted and where she find food next.  Her mom was killed in an earlier wave by a deadly virus and her dad murdered by mysterious people.  The same mysterious people took her brother and now her only goal is to get him back his teddy bear.  Her only protection is the M16 her dad gave her and her brother’s teddy bear.  At the same time a boy named Zombie is being told he is being trained to save the world.  Is that what he’s really being trained for? Read The 5th Wave by Rick Yancey

 

Unwanteds 7

The book I read was The Unwanteds: Island of Dragons by Lisa McMann. It Is 544 pages long. Another book by Lisa McMann is The Unwanteds: Quests. If you like fantasy or adventure books then this is a great one for you to try. I love how the author wrote in third person omniscient because I feel that with this particular series the quality is way better this way.

Imagine that you are the leader of a magical world, that yo have fought for for years. You have nearly died, lost a past leader,  lost friends, and explored over six islands with your people all as a teenager. You have made allies, repaired cities, won battles,  and made creatures of your own. You  even have a good relationship going. Now it is all at stake with one, final battle that can either destroy everything you’ve fought for or leave you enemy less. You see the ships coming and you are outnumbered greatly. the situation is dire. Read the Unwanteds by Lisa McMann to find out what happens.

Legend

The book I read was Legend by Marie Lu. This book is 336 pages long. Another book by Marie Lu is Prodigy. If you like mystery books, then this is great for you. I love how the author wrote in first person because you get a better picture of the book that way.

Imagine that you are a fifteen year old renegade boy who is on the run from the government. This is a reality for Day. He just found out that his little brother, who thinks he’s dead, has the plague. Now he has to steal some medicine from the hospital to help him, and ends up having to throw his knife at a guard. Now Imagine that you are a perfect fifteen year old girl, who’s brother was that guard. this girl is June, and she now want to hunt his killer down. She is mercilessly looking for him, but when she finds him, things are not what they seem. She now has a major internal conflict about if she should do what is “right” or help him. What She does may be surprising. Read Legend by Marie Lu.

Fuzzy Mud

The book I read was Fuzzy Mud by Louis Sachar. It is 192 pages long. Another book by Louis Sachar is Holes. If you like mystery books then this is a good one to try. My favorite character is Chad because he is the bully in the beginning but gets better toward the end.

The book I read was The Unwanteds: Island of Legends by Lisa McMann. This book is 512 pages long. Another book by Lisa McMann is The Unwanteds: Island of Fire. If you like Harry Potter, then this is a good book to try. I love how the author wrote in Third person because you can go from Quill to Artime smoothly.

Imagine living in a world of drab where no one really even cared that you were sent to death for one mistake. That is how Alex Stowe grew up. He now Finds himself the leader of Artime sailing on a boat to a unknown island in the middle of the ocean. He is on his way to rescue someone who has been in slaved by the people of the island. Suddenly, a gigantic wave forms off the bow, which has some worried. The wave is no problem compared to what is stalking them from behind though.
